Lead efforts to grow our brand and our clientele for expanding early-stage startup!

Empowerly is a rapidly growing startup that is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded person to manage our growth efforts. The sales and marketing role is focused on developing current and new marketing channels, participating in workshops and webinars, converting leads to customers through calls and emails, lead scoring, and sales pitching. Our ideal candidate is creative, versatile, analytical, and empathetic. They are looking to make a dent in the world and open to new ideas and ways of thinking. This is an opportunity to work on the ground floor of a startup and get experience in an exciting space. Compensation is dependent on experience.

What we're looking for:

  • Creative thinker who can quickly understand how people think

  • Relationship builder who can create and nurture relationships with leads in the process of turning them into a customer

  • A strong speaker who is comfortable pitching, speaking to prospective clients on the phone, and drafting catchy emails

  • Familiarity with CRM software

  • Prior experience in sales or marketing is a plus


Requirements:

  • Fluent English speaker, excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Self-starter who can develop new initiatives independently

  • Lives in/ can relocate to the Bay Area

  • First-hand experience with the US college admissions processes

  • Ability to manage simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced start-up environment

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure

  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks

  • Detail-oriented

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, communications, or a related field
